I LOVE WASHINGTON CITY – and have lived here for over 15 years. After raising 2 children and retiring from the L.A. Unified School District, my husband and I chose to build a home and live in Washington City.  I now have 8 grand children, but lost my husband in 2009.

My career in L.A. included work in special education for 5 years and then 15 years as an office manager. Our middle school enrollment had 2,300 students and some of my responsibilities included: payroll for 150 employees, correspondence, budget maintenance and supervision hiring/dismissing and evaluations of all clerical personnel, attendance records for all personnel, supplies, inventory control and personal secretary to the principal.

After moving to Washington City, I became a member of the Planning Commission in 1997, and served on that Commission for 5 years, and as Chair for 2 years. In November of 2001, I was elected to the City Council and took office in January of 2002. It was my privilege to serve on many committees. A few of these are: Replacement Airport Task Committee, Milepost 13 Planning and Design, liaison to the Chamber of Commerce, Washington County Economic Development Council for Affordable Housing, Water District meetings and many homeowner meetings.

Being a fiscal conservative personally has served me well. Our citizens deserve the same careful spending of their tax dollars. I support parks and trails which are important to our quality of life, as well as the building of roads and improving infrastructure.

With no personal or political agenda, I’m here to serve and be fair to all. Being retired gives me the time and energy to serve our citizens.  I believe growth should always pay its own way.  My phone number is listed and I am always available. 

I love serving our citizens and our good city. With no personal agenda, you can depend on fair and unbiased decisions from me. I love living in this good city and want to continue to serve Washington citizens where our city “Feels Like Home.”
